Centered on rethinking what teens need, BeMe’s engaging and inclusive mobile platform provides a fun, safe, familiar modality and inspires new-to-the-world support for youth. 

Does anyone see what I create on BeMe? 👀

We do NOT actively monitor content that you create inside our app. It is considered private to you, unless you decide to share it with someone else.

It may or may not be occasionally reviewed for quality control. We will take action if we come across something concerning for safety in our occasional quality control checks but it's NOT a safe way to communicate, especially if you are in need of urgent help.

If you need urgent support or are in crisis, you can contact our BeMe crisis hotline at 866-HEY-BEME (866-439-2363) or texting the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741-741.

To use BeMe you’ll need to create an account. Don’t worry–it’s super easy and with a few quick taps you’ll be ready to join our community.

  • Download BeMe for iOS or download for Android.
  • Open the app and tap on “I’m a new user. Sign Up” to create a new account.
  • Enter your Date of Birth and click Submit.
  • Enter your name, email address and select a secure password that has at least six characters.
  • Tap the check box and agree to our Terms of Service.
  • Add a photo for your profile picture and then Select a BeMe username. Please make sure your username doesn’t violate our Community Guidelines.
  • Select your preferred pronouns (optional).
  • Tap Continue and you’re ready to get started on your path to a happier you.

Is my conversation with a BeMe Coach private? 🔐

All information that you share with a coach is confidential with a few important safety limitations. If we have concerns about you harming yourself or another person, or if there is the possibility of child, dependent, or elder abuse occurring, then we need to take steps to keep everyone safe. In addition, all members of our coaching team work together collaboratively to make sure we are supporting you as best we can.

Coaches and coach supervisors connect regularly about conversations happening to help ensure high quality interactions.

How do I connect with a BeMe Coach? 📣

  • Tap the whistle icon titled “Coaching” on the bottom right corner.
  • Review terms and tap the check box to agree.
  • You can message a coach anytime.
  • Coaches will respond throughout the day, and typically within a few hours of any message.
  • Coaches will sum up your chat sessions through “Coach Notes” for you to look at anytime.
  • After a coaching session, you can provide feedback.
  • If you have reached out to a coach and no one has responded it could be a bug. Try closing the app and re-opening it and messaging again. If no one responds, submit a ticket.   

Who are the BeMe coaches? 💁 💁🏽‍♂️

  • BeMe Coaches are pursuing a career in mental health, through enrollment in or completion of a graduate degree (i.e., Master’s or Doctorate) in a mental health field.
  • All coaches have undergone BeMe’s comprehensive training in working with evidence-based practices and delivering culturally responsive care to teens.

How do I rate my coaching experience? 🔃

  • After each coaching session, you can provide feedback about your experience and your Coach. The feedback is used to improve coaching for you and other teens.
  • If you have concerns about a specific BeMe coach  beyond the session rating, please text BeMe Customer Service and call the BeMe hotline directly at 1-888-861-7225.

How do I report potential copyright violations on BeMe? 📩

  • If you believe someone is using your copyrighted work without your permission, please send a notice of copyright infringement, and including the following information:
  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that has been allegedly infringed;
  • Identification of works or materials being infringed;
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing including information regarding the location of the infringing materials that the copyright owner seeks to have removed, with sufficient detail so that BeMe is capable of finding and verifying its existence;
  • Contact information about the notifier including address, telephone number and, if available, e-mail address;
  • A statement that the notifier has a good faith belief that the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and the notifying party is authorized to make the complaint on behalf of the copyright owner.

Made for teens with teen guidance, BeMe relies on its teen community for diverse, inclusive direction and feedback across a range of perspectives.

How are teens involved in building BeMe? 🤗

  • BeMe was built with input from a diverse group of teens. We did this through our Teen Advisory Board (TAB). They have provided us with feedback, told us what they want to see in the app and guided us throughout the product development process.

How can I join the BeMe Teen Advisory Board (TAB)? 👨‍👧‍👧

  • There are a number of ways to be involved in our Teen Advisory Board (TAB). Our team meets once a week with the TAB for a live discussion and to provide us with feedback on the BeMe app.
  • We also have a TAB Slack, where teens provide us with asynchronous feedback on everything from the BeMe app to what they’re listening to on Spotify.
  • If you’re a teen between the ages of 13 to 17 and would like to join our Teen Advisory Board, you can sign up here

What are your Community Guidelines? 🧐

  • Our Community Guidelines outline what is acceptable and what is not acceptable behavior on BeMe. These are also listed in our Terms of Service.

What action will you take if someone violates your Community Guidelines? 🙅🏽‍♀️

  • We have a number of options if someone breaks the rules, including sending a warning, removing content, and suspending user accounts.
